Christopher H. Block, Esquire

Christopher Block was born in Northern Kentucky and grew up with his parents and sister in Southwest Florida.  In 1998, Mr. Block moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida.  While at UCF, Mr. Block served as the President of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was awarded with the President's Honor Roll and the Dean's List for his academic efforts.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and has remained a lifelong Knights fan ever since.

Mr. Block's professional history began as a Legislative Assistant for one of Central Florida's State Senators.  In this role, he was able to work directly with constituents in the District to help them navigate government bureaucracy to receive critically needed services such as Medicaid benefits, employment assistance, and veterans' benefits.  Mr. Block also provided support to the Wekiva River Basin Task Force, a group that reached the consensus required to complete the Metro Orlando Beltway in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Block was a lobbyist for a Fortune 500 company based in Central Florida and he lobbied elected officials in 49 states, Congress, cities and counties across the country, and Canada.  Mr. Block also established an online bill tracking and grassroots communication system for the company and managed one of the largest political action committees in the hospitality industry.  He served on several key industry boards including the American Beverage Institute, myregion.org, and the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.

Christopher Block graduated cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law in the top 10% of his class and earned academic recognition for the highest marks in Real Property, Environmental Law, Land Use Planning, Legislation, Florida Constitutional Law, and Criminal Procedure.  Mr. Block is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar and the Southern District of Florida.  Mr. Block is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of Lake Apopka.

Chris is married to his wife Karen and they have an intelligent, beautiful daughter together.  Chris is an avid sports fan and passionately follows the Atlanta Braves, UCF Knights, Kentucky Wildcats, Orlando Magic, Miami Dolphins, and the Orlando City Lions.  He also enjoys an eclectic mix of music including rock, hip-hop, country, trombone jazz, and '90s hits.
